Cynthia Lewis, based in Boulder, Colorado, is a certified equine nutrition consultant with a passion for ensuring the optimal health and well-being of horses. She has extensive experience working with horse owners, tailoring sound, balanced, and research-driven diets for companion horses and performance horses alike.

 

Cynthia holds the highest level of equine nutrition certification through Legacy Equine Nutrition Education, where she learned from leading researchers, nutritionists, and veterinarians in the industry. She understands the importance of staying updated with the latest scientific advancements to best serve her clients and their horses.

 

With a deep understanding of equine anatomy, physiology, and nutrition, Cynthia specializes in various areas, including body condition scoring, digestive health, nutrient assessment, hay selection, and dietary approaches for specific conditions such as equine metabolic syndrome, malnourishment, obesity, PPID, gastric disorders, muscle disorders, laminitis, and inflammatory bowel disease.

 

While Cynthia's expertise lies in nutrition, she takes a holistic approach by considering the horse's overall well-being. She evaluates factors such as management practices, environment, workload, and daily routines to create customized nutrition plans that support each horse's unique needs.
